As the second-in-command of Sector V, Abby steps up to a leadership role whenever Nigel is unable to. She also helps calm him down and introduces logic to his wild theories and anxieties. She has a comforting presence that her team all appreciates, and they know they can count on her to always have sensible judgement. She is an excellent leader, strategist and fighter, known for her stealth, agility and ability to think quickly.
Abby joined Sector V during the last iteration of the sector, back when Abby's older sister Cree was still in the KND. At that time, Cree was the leader of Sector V as Numbuh 11, and when Abby became an operative, she joined her sister's sector. At some point, Cree defected and betrayed the Kids Next Door, and Abby became the leader of Sector V in her place. While she was sector leader, the Delightful Children attacked Nigel, who was most likely not an operative at the time. Nigel lost his hair due to the incident and Abby blamed herself for it. She still feels deeply responsible, and this was likely the reason she stepped down as sector leader, passing the torch onto Nigel.
After Nigel leaves Earth to join the Galactic Kids Next Door, he passes his iconic sunglasses to her, and tells her it's up to her to lead the sector again. She is very resistant, but accepts. As time passes, she becomes the next Soopreme Leader of the KND, after Rachel.
Abby has the busiest life outside of the KND of anyone in Sector V. Before joining the KND, she was a scrappy candy hunter, exploring the world and collecting rare sweets with her partner in crime, Henrietta Von Marzipan. As an operative, she continues to go on candy-hunting expeditions, but now she goes on her own. Through these adventures, she has met many different people around the world and has connections everywhere. In the series, she takes on an "Indiana Jones"-esque role, but instead of stealing artifacts from other cultures, she's on a mission to share the world's hidden treasures with everybody.
Abby is an expert when it comes to anything sweet. She has an exceptionally refined palate and feels physical pain when delicious treats are destroyed. Abby keeps a secret trunk of candy in the treehouse known as her "special stash". In operation P.I.R.A.T.E, she took out her special stash to share with her teammates, demonstrating her incredible generosity.
Nigel and Abby are very close, maybe the closest of anyone on the team. They are in some capacity co-leaders and balance each other out well. Abby thinks Nigel is nuts and is quick to make that known.
She also gets frustrated with his workaholism, as it affects the whole team. To Nigel, nothing is more important than missions, and he hates to sit still. Abby, on the other hand, values her down time. Still, they have each other's backs
through thick and thin. They understand each other better than anyone.
Abby and Hoagie are two halves of a comedy duo where Abby is the straight-man. If Hoagie says a bad one-liner, Abby is almost always there to groan and shake her head. Abby doesn't really hate his jokes as much as she claims to, though, even making her own Hoagie-inspired lines when he isn't around.
They are often paired together for missions and also hang out in their free time. In the series finale, it is revealed that they get married when they grow up.
Abby has the same tendancy to underestimate Kuki as everyone else, though she is also quick to support her and validate her feelings. The two have opposite tastes in many things, but they bond over gossip magazines and both enjoy getting the most out of life.
Kuki looks up to Abby and enjoys hanging out with her.
Wally and Abby have a sibling-like relationship. They both take jabs at each other, but love each other all the same. Wally can get on Abby's nerves, but she still enjoys his company and finds him endearing. Abby helps him with his homework and otherwise tries her best to keep him from making poor decisions. Wally supports her, too. He helps her when she's down and stands up for her when she needs it. He knows that she is capable of anything on her own, but he doesn't want her to carry the weight of the world by herself.
Henrietta Von Marzipan was Abby's adventuring partner many years ago. After Henrietta messed with the Sacred Golden Caramels in Guatemala, she was cursed to lose the quality of herself that she was the proudest of.
She indicates that this quality may have been her beauty, but it is not stated outright. The curse transformed Henrietta into a boy. She blamed Abby for what happened to her, because Abby grabbed the caramels created out of Henrietta's prized quality and vanished with them.
The two continue to run into each other, now as enemies. Henrietta is driven by selfishness and greed, coveting all the delicious treats of the world for herself. Abby works to thwart all of Henrietta's schemes, but never stops caring deeply about her. While they are enemies, Abby still
makes an effort to protect Henrietta, rescue her and bring gifts to her.
After the events of operation C.A.R.A.M.E.L, Henrietta learns that Abby ran away with her caramels years ago, because the only way to reverse the curse is for the victim to share their caramels, and Abby knew Henrietta wasn't ready to do that. Abby saved Henrietta's caramel around her neck since then, and was finally able to convince Henrietta to share. When she shared her caramel with Abby, the curse was broken. In this episode, we see how much the two mean to each other.
Maurice was the famous KND operative Numbuh 9 and former member of Sector V. When Abby first joined Sector V, Maurice was already beginning to build a reputation for himself. Both Abby and Cree idolized him and would swoon over him.
After Maurice was apparently decommissioned, Abby tried very hard to keep the Teenagers from recuiting him. However, it turns out that Maurice was never really decommissioned, and he had instead been enlisted into a super secret group within the KND. Certain select operatives get to continue being KND operatives after the age of 13, acting as moles within Teen and Adult circles.
Abby had been feeling hopeless about her place in the KND, knowing that one day she would turn 13 and have all her memories erased. Maurice gave her hope and rekindled her passion for her work. After this, the two remain comrades.
Abby was born in France, and her family moved to the United States when she was young. Her Mother has a French accent, but not much else is known about her. Abby's Father, Dr. Lincoln, is a doctor at the local hospital. He is jovial, kind and very proud of Abby.
Abby is the youngest of three siblings. Her older brother is already an adult and has moved out of the house. He has a couple kids of his own, making Abby a young Aunt. Abby's other sibling is her teenage sister, Cree.
Abby has a complicated and strained relationship with Cree. When Cree was the leader of Sector V, as Numbuh 11, Abby looked up to her and wanted to be just like her. After Cree's betrayal, their relationship was shattered, and Abby has never been able to forgive her sister. Cree became the apprentice of the supervillian Father and a high ranking Teen Ninja. She went on to plot many elaborate and vicious plans to destroy the Kids Next Door. The two fight constantly, both in battle and in their own home. Despite all of this, they share occassional tender moments that show how much they both miss each other. It's clear they still love each other, but they aren't in a position to admit that.
Stickybeard: Stickybeard is Abby's arch-enemy, though sometimes they are more like frienemies. This is a multi-generational rivalry, as Abby's Grandfather had once been rivals with Stickybeard's Grandfather. Stickybeard also has a history with Henrietta, who previously served as Stickybeard's cabin boy.
