NUMBUH FOUR

CODENAME:Numbuh Four
REAL NAME:Wallabee "Wally" Beetles
SECTOR:V
SPECIALTY:Hand-to-Hand Combat Expert
RANK:Field Operative
AGE:10

STRENGTHS: WEAKNESSES:

WALLY is the team's guard dog. He is fiercely loyal and violently protective of his friends and family. He's known for being hot-headed, emotional, and not very bright. He can also be selfish and thoughtless, especially early in the series. Sometimes, he deviates from the team's plan when he thinks he has a better idea, but it almost always backfires. He has unending confidence in himself, even when it's very much unearned. This confidence means he often jumps the gun with battles and plans, though it also makes him fearless.

Wally tends to brag about himself and inflate his own ego, much like Hoagie does, but unlike Hoagie, Wally is fully convinced of everything he says. He often makes up his own facts, such as creating his own, "unique" ways of spelling words, to compensate for his very poor reading and spelling skills. He is often misguided and easily manipulated, which leads him to getting involved in unethical schemes, such as participating in the Bully Fights.

He shows a knack for thinking outside the box, which probably contributes to his surprising success as an adult who graduates from Harvard Medical School. He also enjoys making robotics projects with Hoagie, implying some skill in engineering and construction.

Wally is easily impressed, which reflects his niavety. He is often out of the loop on mission objectives and context, and it is unclear whether this is because his team doesn't inform him or because he doesn't pay attention. He also tends to get emotionally attached to inanimate objects, sometimes to an obsessive degree.

Wally's room in the treehouse is a giant wrestling ring with no bed, where he trains tirelessly. At his house, his bedroom is a disgusting mess. Wally revels in the gross and unhygienic, as well as the violent and gruesome. He hates anything "girly" and especially hates when other people attribute feminine traits to him, which may be part of why he works so hard to appear masculine and tough.

He is sent to boarding school every summer by his parents, but he always breaks out before he can learn anything.

RELATIONSHIPS

NIGEL
Wally sees Nigel as a best friend and hero. He idolizes him and follows Nigel's orders diligently, seeking to make him proud. Nigel is one of the only people who Wally will immediately take orders from, whereas he usually bucks any authority. From Nigel's perspective, Wally is pretty frustrating. However, Nigel does care about Wally and sees potential in him.

With Nigel away, Wally appoints himself as the new sector leader, dressing himself up as Nigel to do so.

HOAGIE
Hoagie and Wally are the absolute best of friends, despite being opposites in many ways. Hoagie is a nerd, while Wally is more akin to a bully. Instead of being at odds, the two are nearly inseparable. They became friends before joining the KND, and they spend a lot of time together without the other members of their team. They share some interests, enjoy working on projects together, and play practical jokes on each other. The two do butt heads occassionally, with Wally getting frustrated at Hoagie's jokes and apparent cowardice, and Hoagie getting annoyed with Wally's cluelessness and impulsivity.

Hoagie coaches Wally, prepping him for a battle with the Dodgeball Wizard.

KUKI
Wally harbors a not-so-secret crush on Kuki, but never successfully tells her how he feels during the series. The two work well together and are often in-sync, even though Wally vocalizes annoyance with Kuki much of the time. She loves all the things that he hates: Rainbow Monkeys, rainbows, cuteness, the list goes on! Kuki resents his brutish nature, his aggression and the way he makes fun of her. Yet at the same time, they have each other's backs like no one else. In the series, they often support each other and express concern over the other's safety. Wally drops everything to protect Kuki, whether from physical or emotional harm. In the series finale, it is revealed that they get married.

When Kuki is upset, Wally puts aside his pride to cheer her up, no matter what.

ABBY
Wally is fiercely protective of all his friends, and Abby is no exception. In return, Abby dotes on Wally and finds him endearing, in his own way. The two are great teammates, playing off each other's strengths and working together seamlessly. Abby loves to tease Wally, giving him noogies and poking fun at his crush on Kuki. Their dynamic is the most similar to siblings of anyone on the team. Abby sometimes helps Wally with his homework.

Wally and Abby work together to break Nigel out of detention.

HIS FAMILY
Wally is from a working class Australian family. His Dad, Sydney, does low-level office work at Mr Boss' company, and also has a second job working at a fast food restaurant in order to afford some luxuries for his family. Syd tries very hard to be a good Dad, and even attended a "How to be a better Dad seminar" (which turned out to be a trap). Wally's Mom is mostly seen taking care of Wally's baby brother, Joey, but she is also seen being the "tough parent", coming down hard on Wally when he breaks her vase. All parents in the series are oblivious to a degree, but Wally's parents are the most oblivious by far. They tend to remain upbeat and optomistic through anything.

Wally has a meltdown when his baby brother gets a scratch.

Joey is Wally's baby brother. While he is a baby, he is also very gifted in fighting and agility, surpassing his older brother in every respect. Joey's family has no idea about his incredible talents. Wally is often annoyed at Joey for hogging everyone's attention, but when Joey is threatened in any way, Wally goes ballistic to protect him.

OTHERS

The Toiletnator: After Wally defeats the Toiletnator in operation M.O.V.I.E, the Toiletnator decides that Wally is his arch enemy. Wally doesn't understand or notice this. To complicate things, the Toiletnator is revealed to be Wally's long-lost Uncle in the comic operation H.I.S.T.O.R.I.E.

Ernest: Ernest is a prominent bully who organizes bully events. Wally has sometimes gotten mixed up in Ernest's schemes, though the two have a very contentious "professional" relationship that always ends with Wally being chased out by an angry mob of bullies.
