NUMBUH THREE

CODENAME:Numbuh Three
REAL NAME:Kuki Sanban
SECTOR:V
SPECIALTY:Diversionary Tactics Expert
RANK:Field Operative
AGE:9-10

STRENGTHS: WEAKNESSES:

KUKI is fun-loving, full of joy, and unshakably carefree. She is underestimated by her peers, including her own teammates, who dismiss her as niave, unskilled and airheaded. However, Kuki frequently demonstrates that she is very perceptive, cunning and capable. She can be loud and distractable, but there is no denying her skill as an operative. Kuki is a very emotional kid who cries easily and often flies into a wild rage. If you make her angry, you better watch out! You will not survive!

Kuki loves Rainbow Monkeys more than anything. She has collected every single doll and knows absolutely everything about the franchise. She possesses a special sixth sense that allows her to sniff out the presence of Rainbow Monkeys, which has helped the team on missions. She also loves all animals, is great at taking care of them, and claims to be able to speak to them.

Even though Kuki is known for her cheerfulness and kindness, she is also rather judgemental and can be painfully blunt at times. She enjoys playfully teasing her friends, which isn't a problem, but she also judges people based on how they look and what clothes they wear. Overall, Kuki is mostly kind, but lacks any tact.

Kuki is a social butterfly who loves making new friends and attending parties. She has an open-mind and is willing to befriend just about anyone, including Numbuh 86, Lizzie and RAMON-4, a robotic Rainbow Monkey that was abandoned in deep space.

Her love for parties has sometimes been a source of annoyance for her team, but they also love Kuki enough that they were willing to organize a surprise birthday party for her in operation T.R.I.C.Y.C.L.E, even though it wasn't really her birthday.

Kuki is the heartbeat of the team, spreading joy and optimism everywhere she goes.

LIKES: DISLIKES: FUN FACTS:
RELATIONSHIPS

The gang is relieved to see that Kuki is alive after facing off against Chester.

NIGEL
While their relationship is criminally underdeveloped, Kuki and Nigel show affection and care for each other often. Nigel cares about making Kuki happy through letting her lead a birthday mission (even if it wasn't really a mission) and trying to comfort her when she's upset. Kuki, on the other hand, expresses her love by relentlessly making fun of Nigel.

Kuki begs Nigel to let her have a giant ducky robot.

HOAGIE
Kuki and Hoagie are sweet friends, but they often squabble. After adopting a baby skunk named Bradley together, the two take on parental roles, sharing responsibilities but also getting on each others nerves. Kuki and Hoagie occassionally team up for adventures, and otherwise have a playful relationship. Both of them bring a sense of light-heartedness to the group.

Kuki and Hoagie give each other a knowing look when deciding to adopt Bradley.

WALLY
Wally and Kuki are the unspoken lovebirds of Sector V. They have mutual crushes on each other, but never let the other know. The are similar in as many ways as they are different. Both of them are considered (emphasis on "considered") the most unintelligent members of the team, and both have tendencies to fly off the handle. On the other hand, Kuki loves all things joyful, cute and sparkly, while Wally hates anything girly and perfers to punch his way out of problems. Wally outwardly appears to hate everything that Kuki likes and often expresses annoyance with her. For her part, Kuki bluntly states what a mean person Wally can be and is put off by his brutish aggression. Despite this, they love each other and go out of their way to make the other happy. Wally has set aside his feelings of embarassment to comfort her and cheer her up when she needs it, and Kuki is always looking for opportunities to spend time with him. In the series finale, it's revealed that they get married when they grow up.

Wally begrudgingly volunteers to perform Kuki's big number with her after her play is ruined.

ABBY
As the two girls of Sector V, Kuki and Abby are friends in a way that they aren't with anyone else on the team. Kuki goes to Abby when she's upset or scared, knowing Abby will always make her feel safe. Abby is often there for her, calming her down when her My First Rainbow Monkey is damaged in battle and reassuring her when times are tough. Abby and Kuki have opposite tastes in aesthetics and lifestyles, but they both respect the interests of the other and they both enjoy magazines and music.

Frightened by ghost hamsters, Kuki takes Abby's hand.

HER FAMILY
Kuki is the oldest daughter in a Japanese-American immigrant family. She lives with her Mom, Genki, who is the head of accounting at Mr Boss' company, her Dad, Kani, and her little sister, Mushi. Her parents are very high-strung, especially her father, who is so intense about ensuring the happiness of his family that he often just creates unnecessary stress. Her mother is stern and level-headed, but under her cold exterior, she is a kind, supportive mother.

Mushi is exposed as the culprit responsible for stabbing Kuki's Posh Party Rainbow Monkey, breaking her heart.

Kuki's relationship with her little sister Mushi changes dramatically over the course of the series. When Mushi is first introduced, the sisters act like best friends. Mushi is younger and seems more niave than Kuki, but this is revealed to be a calculated tactic for manipulation. In operation C.L.U.E.S, it is revealed that Mushi is secretly very conniving and self-centered. Mushi gets grounded for life, and her close relationship with Kuki dissolves.

OTHERS

Numbuh 6/Bradley: Bradley is the baby skunk adopted by Kuki and Hoagie in season 1. After returning to his real parents, Bradley remains an honorary KND operative under the codename Numbuh 6. Bradley makes two appearances after his introduction episode, both times showing that Kuki still takes care of him and treats him like her baby.

Numbuh 86: Kuki is the only person who happily volunteered to go to Fanny's slumber party, and the only person who willingly identifies as her friend.

The hamsters: Kuki is the self-appointed caretaker of all the hamsters in her treehouse. She ensures that they have a good life and good work benefits, such as vacation time.
